After-school Care

Rogers Public Schools offers after-school care at a minimal cost for working families. Kid's World provides a safe and wholesome environment where students in kindergarten through fifth grade can be creative, have fun and have additional learning opportunities after school.

The after-school program is available at most of the elementary schools in the district until 5:30 p.m.

Kid's World is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services. The program has also achieved "quality approval status" from the state which means parents can claim a state income tax credit. All staff members are CPR trained.

Each day children can participate in a variety of activities including
  • arts and crafts,
  • board games,
  • sports and recreation,
  • science and nature activities,
  • computer time,
  • homework,
  • shared reading,
  • independent reading,
  • listening centers,
  • drama and theater,
  • blocks and construction,
  • music and movement.
Children also receive a nutritious snack, which meets USDA guidelines.

The cost of participating in Kid's World includes a $10 annual fee and then $35 per week for after-school care. For more information about enrolling, call Kid's World at 479-631-3696.
